Waiyaki Way residents in Nairobi county are set to face water outages on Thursday, September 9, and Friday, September 10, due to a supply line closure at the Kabete Water Treatment Plant.

The Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company Limited (NWSC), in a statement, said the water supply interruption was a result of the ongoing construction of the Nairobi Expressway.
The company said the water supply would be interrupted from Thursday 6am to Friday 6am.

“The shutdown will facilitate interconnection of relocated pipeline to the old pipeline along Waiyaki Way Road from the Old Safaricom House to the junction of Waiyaki Way and Prof Wangari Maathai Road to the expressway contractor," NWSC managing director Nahashon Muguna said.PAY ATTENTION: Don't miss trending Kenyan news. Similar interruptions
In May, over 10 areas in the city including State House faced water supply interruption.
This was occasioned by the repair of the Sasumua treated water transmission pipeline.
