Season 4 – “Commencement”

Lets be real. Season 4 was a bit of a dud, dragged down by less interesting “Freak of the Week” episodes and a boring season villain, the Teague family (shoutout to Jensen Ackles, who would get cast the following year as Dean Winchester in the seemingly imortal “Supernatural).

The one bright spot was the season’s finale, “Commencement.” The episode represented a step into a new era for the show, with the second meteor shower bringing the first iconic foe outside of Lex into the series, and the episode culminates with Clark creating the Fortress of Solitude.
